R&D started out as two friends with a passion for beer. Robert McGrath got into home brewing after a friend showed him how cheap and easy it was to do on your own. Several years and a lot of beer later, he was honored to brew the beer for his good friend David Suits' wedding. That wedding beer gave David the bug as well, which inspired him to borrow Robert's equipment and proceed to win a homebrew competition. In 2011, R&D began brewing together and the rest as they say, is history!
Robert McGrath was born abroad and has lived in San Antonio, TX before moving to Knoxville, TN in 1984. He attended the University of Tennessee but was a slackass and never matriculated. Aside from beer, he enjoys reading, Irish Whiskey, good music, and culinary exploration.
David Suits is a graduate of the University of Tennessee by way of Carson-Newman. He's lived in East Tennessee for most of his life. He's the Bourbon guy.
